Street Fighter (1994)
To some extent, I actually like the campy irreverence to the source material. Much like with Super Mario Bros. the year before, this team take on the dreamlike aspects of videogames and just run with it. Raul Julia's performance as Bison is, of course, very fun, and there are some decent gags. Unfortunately, the cinematography's dire and the script and delivery are often abysmal—it's like a film made of first takes and B-roll. It doesn't help that the writers give all the game's cast some spotlight, diluting focus across 5 or so plotlines involving over a dozen characters. Hell, Shinken Legend Tight Road, another mid-90s fighting game adaptation (sorta; the game itself never came out), was a full 1-cour anime series for about the same number of characters and threads.
