Free Radicals (1958)

Damn these squiggles are vivacious. The monochrome abstraction opens itself up to so much interpretation: Rotating wireframe landscapes; tall grass and flames on the hillside; processions of burning torches; shambling and strutting legs; dust devils and whirlwinds. It's all infused with a strong energy from the Bagirmi music, like glittering dust dancing on a drumskin.
