Napoleon Dynamite (2004)

A cute kaleidoscope of millennial autisms that's suffused with understated weirdness. While it started out just kinda amusing, its bluntness and sincerity won me over, and while it's distinctly USAmerican the vibe does resonate across the Atlantic. Thank God it was made 20 years ago—if it was made today it'd probably be drenched with insufferable twee ironic meta-commentary.
