Billy the Kid and the Green Baize Vampire (1985)

They don't make 'em like this any more. Hell, they never made 'em like this before. This film a bona fide one-of-a-kind, a class-war musical about the wretchedness of fascist Thatcherite no-society Britain as told through the clash of the cowboy-and-vampire titans on the green baize battlefield. An insane premise played out with Brechtian brutality and songs as deft and complex as a brick to the face, yet the pure sincerity is captivating. This movie left me awestruck and dumbfounded and legitimately changed my life for at least like 2–3 days. Side note: I watched this as a shitty squashed DVD rip and it honestly made the whole experience greater. If this film was any better, it'd be worse.
