Black Lion (1992)

Schlocky historical sci-fi gorefest. The stupidest ninja clans fight the most immortal-est ninja-killing cyborg. They just keep trying to kill him with escalating plots that never work! And they keep saying “the immortal ninja-killer must be dead, only an immortal could survive that” and then he comes out unscathed and says “ha-ha! I'm the immortal ninja-killer!” The art occasionally has its charms, like Ginnai's night castle or Nagatoji's flashback to the destruction of his village. Unfortunately, the characters are one-note at best and the story discards them like crumbs with every death.
