House on Haunted Hill (1959)

A hokey horror funhouse. Vincent Price adeptly plays the slimy wealthy host as he's done before. The others are fine, though the women's roles suffer from the misogyny of the era. There are no real surprises in the design and cinematography, and the way plot threads and possibilities are toyed with and dropped made me feel like I was watching a filmed role-play instead of wholly-scripted story. Still, it's not to be entirely underestimated.
