This series is a purposeful and surreal masterpiece. Memory is commodified by a bottomlessly hungry and self-destructive system that has outstripped its former orchestrators, and the only way out is to redefine and reclaim your relationship with yourself and those around you, body and mind. It never rests on its laurels and always ups the ante or twists the knife. Wildly inventive in character design, worldbuilding, and general visual style—and far more savage and painful and raw than I could have possibly imagined.
