I'm now theorising an equal opposite to the “7/10 that's really a 10/10” phenomenon, the “2/5 that's really a 0/5”. Anyway, it's occasionally-stylish, racist, defeatist left-liberalism—the problems we face are systemic, but there are no systemic solutions, just a morality play about how if you get absurdly wealthy by making the world a worse place then you go to hell before you die.
