Lupin III: Mystery of the Hemingway Papers (1990)

A perfectly average Lupin TV special. This time Jigen and Goemon actually have stuff to do and it's Fujiko who often feels superfluous. Zenigata's a punchline and most of the local characters are under-developed. Musically it's inoffensive, but for all the prominence they give to Maria's jukebox they have a surprising lack of big tracks. In fact, I think every single time they use the jukebox it's the same song. The two things I really liked were some of the wrecked, excavator-strewn landscape and the reveal of the treasure, both in the titular Papers and then for real.
