NOISEMAN SOUNDINSECT (1997)

A fast and frenzied short that wastes no time. It's a simple fable, but I feel like narrative depth's not really the point. The music and craft are the real focus—the grungy, pale cityscape, the lively character design, the alternately wild and soothing soundtrack are all great and this feels like an excellent prototype for bigger things. If anything, the problem is that it's overshadowed by the later, greater works of its creators.
