Psycho (1960)

A movie that's tragically too iconic and inspirational for its own good, plus the wacky psychology exposition at the end is just too blunt and silly for a modern audience I think. It's just impossible for me to see any of the famous scenes and not think of the parodies and pastiches. However, a lot of the subtler conversations around all the iconic murder shots are nice in their own ways—characterful and creepy.
