Rollerball (1975)

If you adapt a short story into a 2+ hour film then you could at least make it look strange and beautiful or give the characters more to do. Could've been way more homoerotic and violent and weirdly-shot… But no, 20 more hours of an aimless and alienated sports celeb slowly, vaguely, and unemotionally trying and failing to figure out what the fuck is wrong with Society.
