Decent visual design inspired by Beksinski and Giger; I liked the prayer-obsessed creature at the start. With the good out of the way, here's the bad: the writing is painfully inferior to the public-domain work (like Shelley's Ozymandias) the dev tosses in for atmosphere; the voices are almost all plainly the same guy with the same intonation and a different filter; the puzzles are tedious lock-and-key stuff hampered by slow movement through cluttered levels. It feels like a product of the sordid solo-dev mythos. One guy skilled in one area shouldered almost the entire burden of making a game in the modern style, then brought down the one good part by not playing to his strengths. This game would've been better as a walking sim without the distinction between game entities and decoration, littered with thematic public-domain poetry and philosophy. Instead, it's just a hollow artifact with the illusion of depth. What a let-down.
