A horror game about an academic studying a creepy ancient statuette using a range of texts spanning archaeology, geology, linguistics, and folklore that unfortunately delivers on just about none of that. Partly I think it's that it was made for a game jam—a lotta jam games are like sketches—and partly it feels like a game about research made by someone who's never actually done in-depth research. Rather than sifting through a bunch of interesting texts of varying relevance, using reason and intuition to spot and combine clues that lead you deeper into the mystery, the game just gives you tiny always-relevant scraps and points you to the right answer every step of the way.
