File this under “PICO-8 games that'd make a great foundation for something bigger but are dissatisfyingly empty on their own”. The idea here's great---you sail around filling out your map through direct observation and by chatting up fellow gay pirates for extra info---but there's nothing else going on. Graphically slick, but the extra fidelity gave me the impression the world would be more detailed than, say, Pico Pirates, and that's just not true. I have some other minor issues with the game, but the main thing is really just the flatness of it all.
