Pretty, but hollow. It's a space travel game where you jet between systems delivering goods while doing odd jobs on the side, but these tasks have almost no detail, so there's not much visceral satisfaction, and there's almost no record of what you've done, so there's not much completionist satisfaction either. On the plus side, the parallaxing rainbow starscape is elegant and sets the mood of peaceful playfulness. What would save this game is a banger dynamic soundtrack to turn it into an interactive visualiser, but I guess there probably isn't the space for that in PICO-8.
